transposed in different laws and bylaws.
For successful completion and evaluation of the approximation in the
Correlation Table MK-EU it should be reviewed in correlation with the
Correlation Table EU-MK as well as compulsory submission of the trans-
lation of the EU act into Macedonian. Based on the above-mentioned, this
Handbook provides some practical aspects of drawing correlation tables
and proposal of their content and form as an example for their further use.
1. CORRELATION TABLES –GENERAL
Two types of correlation tables are drawn when drafting national legal
acts in which European legal measures are transposed:
- “When working in a work group, in accordance with the Deci-

gotiations, or when, in accordance with the National Programme
for Adoption of the Acquis Communautaire, particular state au-
thority is obliged to draft a legal act with which transposition of
the EU acts is made, and Correlation Table MK-EU.
- Upon drafting the text of laws or bylaws by transposing the EU
legal acts and they are to be communicated to governmental pro-
cedure or in the case of bylaws prepared for publishing, Cor-
relation Table EU-MK is drawn. For any EU legal act subject
to transposition in a particular law or bylaw of the Republic of
Macedonia, individual Correlation Table EU-MK is drawn that
is to show the extent of approximation of the EU legal act with
the national legal act/s adopted or to be adopted. This means that
in the case where in a national legal act subject to transposition
more than one EU legal acts are transposed, for each of the EU
acts separate Correlation Table EU-MK is to be drawn.
